Teaching AI to everyone, from the bookkeeper to the founder
What changes when I teach AI to different roles, and what doesn't.
I teach AI to pretty much every role around me, from bookkeepers and ServiceTitan coaches to finance and leadership. Same tools. Very different first questions.
What changes is the example. A bookkeeper, a coach and someone in finance each spend their week on different work, so I start with something from their week, not mine. Some people want to see the logic before they trust it. Some want the short version first: what it saves, what the risk is, and whether the result needs a second look. I try to notice which one I’m talking to.
What doesn’t change:
- Their own real work, from the first session.
- No jargon and no hype.
The job changes the example. It doesn’t change the need to explain things clearly.
